HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE (HYPERTENSION) REASONS
AND REMEDIES
If we understand the underlying reason of
why we get blood pressure then we can be more adept at treating the cause
rather than just taking medicines to lower it. I keep emphasizing that our body
is super intelligent and whatever it does it has a reason for it. So why is it
increasing the blood pressure in the first place? There has to be a reason
behind that.
Instead of investigating the reason, if we
go for medication like taking calcium channel blockers, taking diuretics and
lowering sodium in our diet is where we start complicating things even further.
To put it into perspective, the reason why most people hypertension is due to a deficiency of Vitamin D, Magnesium or Potassium. As we eat less salads and green vegetables, our potassium levels keep falling and most of us are deficient because the requirement of potassium in the body is quite high almost (4500mg). Taking diuretics is going to deplete potassium and magnesium due to which, the body will be forced to increase the pressure even further.
Diuretics
also increase Homocysteine which is an amino acid . Eating processed foods and
sugar causes diabetes or insulin resistance which is a major cause of
Atherosclerosis or hardening of the arteries by deposition in its inner layer
called the endothelium and as the hardening of arteries occurs, Blood Pressure
rises.
Taking
Calcium Channel Blockers has its own side effects and some of them quite
serious like cancer and negative effects on the brain. There are the Ace
Inhibitors which have a side effect of causing cough and other allergies.
Therefore, the first thing I would do if I had Blood Pressure is taking Potassium, Magnesium and Vitamin D supplements or even changing the diet to get them from food. Of course, Vitamin D can be naturally obtained by exposure to the sun (20 Minutes a day will suffice depending on where you live and how much your body is exposed).
The other thing I would do is to take Nitric Oxide which is a vessel dilator thereby relaxing them. That is why taking Nitric Oxide helps Erectile Dysfunction by increasing the blood flow. Taking L-Arginine, Tocotrienols (Active form of Vitamin E) Garlic, Green Vegetables, Salads and leading a healthy lifestyle by exercising and losing weight by following a Keto diet will serve to bring down elevated Blood Pressure levels.
Remember
that our body has almost 160 thousand kilometers of vessels and more weight
means more work for the heart to pump blood through them. So aim for a healthy
BMI (Body Mass Index) and try to follow the steps above to be able to manage
hypertension instead of taking medicines for the rest of your life with all
those side effects to deal with.
Increasing knowledge about your own body serves to manage it more efficiently. Manage your body well and your body will reward you.
