Essential Vitamins for the Body
There are some essential vitamins which must be constantly replenished for our body to keep working properly. The important point is not to just keep taking them but to ensure that they are being properly absorbed. To ensure their proper absorption, it is important to know that the vitamins are of two types. Water and Fat soluble. Fat soluble vitamins are best absorbed when taken with fat. Vitamins A,D E and K are fat soluble. That is why it ia always advisable to take your salads with some olive oil.
Other vitamins like Vitamin C, thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), Vitamin B6, biotin (B7), folic acid (B9), Vitamin B12 are water soluble.
When and in which form to take vitamins is also very important. Just popping a multivitamin pill will not have adequate effect. Therefore, it is important to know which vitamins one is deficient in. Some vitamins like Vitamin C cannot be stored in the body and must be replenished constantly. Other vitamins and minerals if taken before bed may help you sleep better like magnesium which helps in overcoming leg cramps. But most vitamins are better taken in the morning. It is best to study your body’s reaction like if taking a certain vitamin at night interferes with your sleep it is better to take it in the morning. Everybody reacts differently and there is no set pattern. Vitamin D generally helps people sleep better so it's better taken before bed.
Due to the modern eating habits which are focused on carbohydrates and even the vegetables are devoid of so heavily sprayed with chemicals and artificial fertilisers that the general public is deficient in many vitamins and it causes many health complications. For example staying indoors and not having enough exposure to sunlight can make you deficient in Vitamin D. The best form of Vitamin D is Cod Liver Oil which comes with Vitamin A and Omega 3 Fatty Acids.
Keep taking Vitamins in the natural form and not the Synthetic form generally sold over the counter which has minimal benefit and is a waste of money. A healthy digestive system along with a healthy gut microbiome is certainly going to help absorb nutrients better.
