Minerals for Brain Health
There are some minerals which are essential for brain health and there are mainly four or them which are absolutely essential. They include Zinc, Copper, Iodine and Magnesium. The deficiency of these minerals affects many areas of the brain which control memory, stress response and sleeping capabilities. As we all know, stress affects sleep and also serotonin made by our brain affects mood, behaviour and sleep.
Sugar is another factor which adversely affects our brain and makes it dull and in time, unable to recall things. It adversely affects memory and is responsible for brain degeneration. Diabetics are prone to brain degeneration and memory loss. Sugar is the single most potent factor affecting brain function. Thankfully, we have another fuel which is Ketones and it is a preferred fuel for the brain.
Therefore, we must follow a healthy lifestyle of regular exercise and eat a healthy diet rich in minerals and vitamins. Reducing stress is also very important and following regular sleep patterns with adequate sleep can positively affect brain and our longevity.
